Engagement sessions are not about posing — they’re about witnessing.

This session is a space to slow down, connect, and document the way you exist together before the vows are spoken. Unrushed, emotionally honest, and rooted in the same intentional storytelling that defines Where We Choose.

Intimate indoor elopement ceremony with officiant reading vows as the couple holds hands, surrounded by close family and warm natural light.

Micro-Wedding Package

from $3500

For couples who want to gather their closest people without losing the intimacy of the moment.

Micro-weddings with Where We Choose are centered on presence, connection, and meaning — offering gentle guidance, thoughtful pacing, and documentary storytelling so your vows remain the heart of the day, not the schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve never eloped before — how does this actually work?

Most couples haven’t, and that’s okay. Elopements with Where We Choose are gently guided from start to finish. I help you choose a meaningful location, create a calm timeline, and hold space so your day feels intentional rather than overwhelming.

Do you help us choose a location?

Absolutely. Location guidance and scouting are part of the experience. Together, we’ll choose a desert location that feels aligned with your vision, accessibility needs, and the kind of presence you want on your day.

Can we bring a few people with us?

Yes. Elopements and micro-weddings can include a small number of loved ones. Micro-weddings are designed for gatherings of 20 guests or fewer, allowing you to share the moment without losing its intimacy.

We don’t want stiff poses — will you help us feel natural?

Yes. My approach is documentary and emotionally led. I offer gentle guidance when needed, but your connection is never forced. You’re invited to move, breathe, and be fully present.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if we feel awkward or emotional in front of the camera?

That’s more common than not. You don’t need to perform or know what to do. I work quietly and intuitively, allowing space for real emotion — whether that looks like laughter, stillness, or tears.

Do you photograph traditional weddings?

I do offer traditional weddings when it feels aligned. I intentionally take on only a limited number of weddings each month so I can be fully present with my clients. Reach out with your date, and we can create a custom package that feels right for you.

Is this right for us if we’re doing something non-traditional?

Yes. Where We Choose exists for couples creating their own meaning. There’s no single “right” way to begin a marriage here — only the way that feels true to you.

What if the day doesn’t go exactly as planned?

That’s okay — and often where the most meaningful moments live. The desert teaches flexibility and presence. I approach each elopement with calm adaptability, allowing the day to unfold naturally while still protecting the heart of what you’re there to do: choose each other.
